Job summary

YH Support is seeking Female Disability Support Workers to support participants with community access in Lurnea, NSW and surrounding areas. This casual role will provide compassionate, high-quality care to clients with disabilities, helping with daily living activities and supporting independence and wellbeing.

You will work closely with clients to assist daily living activities, accompany them in the community, and document progress while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care, or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• A current driver's license and access to reliable transport

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care, such as showering, dressing, and grooming
• Helping clients with household tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
• Accompanying and supporting clients in the community, such as during social outings or appointments
• Providing emotional support and engaging clients in meaningful activities
• Documenting client progress and communicating with the broader care team
• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols

This is a casual role that will involve providing compassionate and high-quality care to our clients with disabilities. Shifts to cover:

Mon to Fri - 12pm to 2pm & 4pm to 6pm

Sat & Sun - 12pm to 2pm

What you'll be doing
