Job summary

YH Support is seeking Female Disability Support Workers to support a participant to join our team in Oakleigh South and surrounding areas. This is a casual role that involves compassionate and high-quality care to our clients with disabilities.

You will work closely with our clients to assist them with daily living activities and support their independence and wellbeing, with shifts on Thursdays and Fridays.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport with clients.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work weekends and public holidays.
• A current driver's license and access to reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care, such as showering, dressing, and grooming.
• Helping clients with household tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
• Accompanying and supporting clients in the community, such as during social outings or appointments.
• Providing emotional support and engaging clients in meaningful activities.
• Documenting client progress and communicating with the broader care team.
• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
