Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Emerald QLD is seeking a dedicated leader for the Disability Inclusion team within the Emerald Secondary College. The role focuses on guiding Inclusion Learning Assistants, managing the DIP process, coordinating Student Support Groups and IEPs, and acting as the primary contact between the college and families.

You will work with the Disability Inclusion Leader to implement the DI reforms, oversee data collection (NCCD and wellbeing/attendance) and support

• SC1: Demonstrated capacity to perform duties consistent with established guidelines and frameworks, including coordinating and supporting others in respect to specific work functions relevant to the role.
• SC2: Demonstrated capacity to work and collaborate with others in a team environment.
• SC3: Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively in a team environment, including high level oral and written communication skills.
• SC4: Possess the technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the position.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the work of the Disability Inclusion Team including the ILA's (Inclusion Learning Assistants/Aides)
• Overseeing the work currently referred to as Tier 2 and Tier 3 and moving towards implementation of the Disability Inclusion Reform
• Administrative duties associated with this work
• Reporting to and working with the Disability Inclusion Leader.
