Job summary

Supported Housing Development Group is seeking a caring Care and Support Worker (Disability) for our North Strathfield operations. You will provide personal care, assist with medications, meals, and daily living tasks, and support residents in group homes and shared units.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant diploma or equivalent experience, a current first aid certificate, a valid driver’s licence and an NDIS worker screening check, with entitlement to work in Australia.

Qualifications

• Speak, read and write in English.
• Hold a relevant diploma or higher qualification, or 3+ years of equivalent care experience.
• Hold a current first aid certificate.
• Have a valid driver’s licence.
• NDIS worker screening check with clearance to work with people living with a disability.
• Must have ongoing entitlements to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, housekeeping, lifestyle support and emergency response.
• Monitor and report residents’ medical, physical and emotional status.
• Maintain documentation and communicate changes to supervisors.
• Support sleepover shifts from 6 pm to 9 am as required.
