Job summary

NSW Health at Royal North Shore Hospital is seeking a Digitisation Officer to support Health Information Services with document imaging, PDF uploads and secure scanning. The role includes creating new records, assisting in destruction, and handling offsite storage while coordinating paper work across Beaches campuses.

The position requires attention to detail, adherence to privacy standards, and the ability to meet daily productivity benchmarks in a busy hospital records environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative position and/or knowledge and experience in health administrative functions.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to take initiatives and conduct thorough investigations for problem solving.
• Developed computer skills including experience with document imaging, patient administration systems and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform document imaging tasks, including PDF upload and secure scanning.
• Create new records as required and assist in records destruction.
• Process offsite storage records and collect paperwork for scanning.
• Deliver records across Beaches campuses and assist with release of information requests where needed.
• Process deceased paperwork and maintain patient confidentiality and data privacy.
