Job summary

Calvary Health Care Kogarah is seeking a casual Dietitian to deliver best-practice nutrition care for patients across inpatient, outpatient, or community settings. You will contribute to aged care, rehabilitation or palliative care services while aligning with Calvary’s mission and values.

The role requires eligibility for Dietitians Australia membership, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work flexibly within a supportive team delivering high-quality nutrition care.

Qualifications

• Eligible for full membership of Dietitians Australia.
• Experience in aged care, rehabilitation or palliative care.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to exercise independent professional judgement using evidence-based practice.
• Experience with professional digital technologies.
• Participation or leadership in quality improvement and teaching.

In this casual role you will provide best practice dietetic care to patients/clients of Calvary Health Care Kogarah. You may provide services within an inpatient, outpatient or community setting. Clinical areas covered may include aged care, rehabilitation or palliative care.

Your main duties will include:

• Holistic nutrition care of referred patients

About you:

• Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Australia and a current Drivers Licence (Class C).
• Demonstrated core competency skills in Dietetics within aged care, rehabilitation and/or palliative care.
• Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, to both engage patients/clients and work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement in the provision of clinical care using evidence based practice, commensurate with years of experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to the use and application of professional and clinical digital technologies.
• Demonstrated participation or leadership in quality improvement processes and teaching, commensurate with years of experience.
• Ability to respond to the demands and pressures of the role while managing time effectively.
• Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
