Job summary

Calvary Health Care Kogarah is seeking a casual Dietitian to provide best-practice nutrition care to patients across inpatient, outpatient or community settings, including aged care, rehabilitation and palliative care.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, delivering holistic nutrition care and supporting service delivery during periods of leave or vacancies. A relevant degree and current Dietitians Australia membership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or postgraduate degree in nutrition and dietetics with eligibility for Dietitians Australia.
• Current drivers licence (Class C).
• High level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to exercise independent professional judgement in clinical care using evidence-based practice.
• Experience in aged care, rehabilitation and/or palliative care.
• Commitment to use and application of professional and clinical digital technologies.
• Participation or leadership in quality improvement processes and teaching.

Responsibilities

About the role

In this casual role you will provide best practice dietetic care to patients/clients of Calvary Health Care Kogarah. You may provide services within an inpatient, outpatient or community setting. Clinical areas covered may include aged care, rehabilitation or palliative care.

Your main duties will include:

• Holistic nutrition care of referred patients

About you:

• Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Australia and a current Drivers Licence (Class C).


• Demonstrated core competency skills in Dietetics within aged care, rehabilitation and/or palliative care.


• Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, to both engage patients/clients and work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.


• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement in the provision of clinical care using evidence based practice, commensurate with years of experience.


• Demonstrated commitment to the use and application of professional and clinical digital technologies.


• Demonstrated participation or leadership in quality improvement processes and teaching, commensurate with years of experience.


• Ability to respond to the demands and pressures of the role while managing time effectively.


• Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
