Job summary

Calvary Health Care Kogarah is seeking a casual Dietitian to deliver best practice nutrition care to patients in inpatient, outpatient or community settings across aged care, rehabilitation and palliative care.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, applying evidence-based practice, with flexible hours and opportunities for professional development and salary packaging. You will contribute to quality improvement activities and support the mission and values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
• Eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia and a current Drivers Licence.
• Competent in aged care, rehabilitation and/or palliative care.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills for patient engagement and multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Independent professional judgement with evidence-based practice.
• Commitment to use of professional and clinical digital technologies.
• Participation or leadership in quality improvement and teaching.
• Ability to manage time effectively under pressure.

About The Role

In this casual role you will provide best practice dietetic care to patients/clients of Calvary Health Care Kogarah. You may provide services within an inpatient, outpatient or community setting. Clinical areas covered may include aged care, rehabilitation or palliative care.

Your main duties will include:

• Holistic nutrition care of referred patients

About you:

• Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Australia and a current Drivers Licence (Class C).
• Demonstrated core competency skills in Dietetics within aged care, rehabilitation and/or palliative care.
• Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, to both engage patients/clients and work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement in the provision of clinical care using evidence based practice, commensurate with years of experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to the use and application of professional and clinical digital technologies.
• Demonstrated participation or leadership in quality improvement processes and teaching, commensurate with years of experience.
• Ability to respond to the demands and pressures of the role while managing time effectively.
• Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
