Job summary

Mackay Regional Council is offering the role of Senior Development Support Officer in Mackay, Queensland. You will lead a small support team, guide Development Support Officers and work closely with the Team Leader to ensure accurate and timely administrative processes across Development Planning and Engineering and Water Treatment Programs.

This senior role focuses on coordination, customer experience, and compliance, with opportunities to enhance workflows and contribute to service delivery

Qualifications

• Strong administration, coordination and team-support experience.
• Supervisory or team-leading experience.
• Knowledge of local government processes or development planning is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise, manage deadlines and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead Development Support Officers and provide guidance.
• Coordinate administrative functions: lodgement, correspondence, records, meetings, reporting.
• Support stakeholders including developers, consultants and government agencies.
• Manage competing priorities and deadlines in a busy team.
• Contribute to process improvements and service delivery practices.
