Job summary

Aramex Australia is seeking a motivated and experienced Operations Assistant to join our Port Macquarie team. This role focuses on supporting daily depot operations, coordinating couriers, handling customer inquiries, and contributing to performance reporting to ensure service excellence.

You will work with the Branch Manager, analyze data, and help maintain efficient operations, with forklift duties and a hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in operations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Logistics experience preferred
• Strong problem-solving ability and practical thinking
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Proficiency in computer systems, including email and Microsoft Office
• Safety-focused mindset and highly attentive to details
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operational activities to ensure efficient depot performance
• Liaise with couriers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues
• Manage and resolve parcel and courier-related queries and escalations
• Respond to online enquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Analyse operational data and generate reports
• Create and maintain accurate performance reports
• Take accountability for supporting overall depot performance outcomes
• Operate a forklift (loading and unloading trucks)
• Work closely with and report directly to the Branch Manager
