Job summary

SCORCOTT PTY LTD is seeking a capable Depot Operations Assistant to join the Toowoomba depot team. This full-time role supports the Depot Supervisor, assisting with unloading and loading, moving freight, scanning, and preparing orders for delivery.

You will ensure an organised depot floor and smooth day-to-day operations, communicating clearly with drivers and customers. The position requires a current forklift licence, a valid car licence, and physical fitness for regular manual handling.

Qualifications

• Hold a current forklift licence.
• Hold a current car driver licence.
• Be physically fit and capable of regular manual handling.
• Have good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Have good organisational and communication skills.
• Be confident with technology and willing to learn new systems as we continue moving from paper-based to digital processes.
• Be reliable, proactive and able to use initiative.
• Be able to work independently as well as effectively with other team members.
• An LR, MR or HR truck licence would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers to unload and reload vehicles.
• Move freight around the depot manually and by forklift.
• Scan and sort freight.
• Prepare freight for delivery.
• Maintain an organised and efficient depot floor.
• Communicate well with drivers, customers and team members.
