Job summary

Aramex Australia is seeking an energetic and highly organized PM Operations Supervisor to oversee the afternoon parcel operations at our depot. You will supervise inbound/outbound freight, coordinate with drivers and warehouse teams, and maintain service levels with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

You will lead a team of warehouse staff, sorters, and drivers, driving KPI performance, cost control, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in supervisory/management within courier or logistics.
• Familiar with courier software and enterprise systems.
• Proven track record of meeting KPIs and reducing costs.
• Strong leadership and communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily PM shift operations, including parcel sorting, loading, and dispatch.
• Coordinate with drivers and warehouse teams to ensure smooth handovers between AM and PM shifts.
• Ensure shipments are processed accurately and on time according to schedule.
• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, sorters, and drivers to meet targets.
• Monitor operational KPIs and drive efficiency, accuracy, and cost control.
• Handle shift handovers and communications with other supervisors and departments.
• Enforce health & safety and company compliance procedures at all times.
• Address operational issues promptly to minimize disruption.
• Assist with staffing, shift planning, and training of new team members.
• Collaborate with logistics and customer service to ensure a seamless delivery experience.

About the Role

Aramex Coffs Harbour is currently looking for an energetic, reliable, proactive, and highly organized professional with attention to detail and 'can do' attitude to join our team.

Reporting into the Depot Operations Manager, the PM Operations Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for supervising the smooth and efficient running of our parcel operations during the afternoon shift. This includes managing inbound/outbound freight, coordinating with drivers and warehouse teams, maintaining service levels, and ensuring safety and compliance protocols are followed.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervise the daily PM shift operations, including parcel sorting, loading, and dispatch
• Effective operational handover from/to AM and PM teams daily.
• Ensure all shipments are processed accurately and on time according to schedule
• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, sorters, and drivers to meet performance targets
• Monitor operational KPIs and drive improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and cost control
• Handle shift handovers and communication with other supervisors and departments
• Enforce health & safety and company compliance procedures at all times
• Address any operational issues or delays swiftly to minimize disruption
• Assist with staffing, shift planning, and training of new team members
• Collaborate with the logistics and customer service teams to ensure a seamless delivery experience

To be successful in this role:

• +2 Years experience in a supervisory or management role within the courier industry or a similar logistics environment. This could be roles such as team leader, operations supervisor, or assistance operations manager;
• Familiarity with courier/transport industry software and enterprise systems (e.g. Courier Management Systems, GPS Tracking Support Systems and WMS);
• Proven track record of meeting complex operational KPIs and cost-efficiency targets;
• Experience in handling stakeholder inquires and resolving issues effectively;
• Strong leadership attributes with the ability to motivate and develop teams;
• Excellent communicator, able to relate to a wide range of stakeholders – franchisees, sub-contractors, customers and staff;
• Empathy with the needs and issues faced by couriers and customers;
• Confident and assertive.
