Job summary

Aramex Port Macquarie has a casual freight sorter position available at the Taree depot. The role is hands-on in a large warehouse, with early starts from 4:00am and duties including sorting, labeling, and preparing freight for delivery.

You will be on your feet throughout shifts, working with the team to meet daily freight deadlines and maintain safety and organisation on site.

Qualifications

• This is a casual warehouse role based at the Taree depot.
• You must be able to lift up to 25 kg and work on your feet for the duration of your shift.
• A current forklift licence is required.
• You will sort, label, and allocate parcels and ensure safe handling.

Responsibilities

• Manually sort and process loose freight and parcels within the warehouse
• Accurately scan, label, and allocate parcels to the correct routes
• Load and unload parcels from conveyor belts, cages, and pallets
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily freight deadlines
• Report any damaged freight or safety concerns to the Supervisor

About the Role

Aramex Port Macquarie has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Freight Sorter to join our dynamic team based at our Taree depot.

This is a hands-on, physical role within a large, warehouse environment. You will be on your feet for the duration of your shift and play a key role in ensuring freight is accurately sorted and prepared for delivery. This role requires early morning starts from 4:00am.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manually sort and process loose freight and parcels within the warehouse
• Accurately scan, label, and allocate parcels to the correct delivery routes
• Load and unload parcels from conveyor belts, cages, and pallets
• Ensure freight is handled safely to prevent damage
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily freight deadlines
• Report any damaged freight or safety concerns to the Supervisor

• The physical capability to safely lift up to 25kg and perform repetitive manual tasks
• Good attention to detail and time management skills
• A current forklift licence (required)
