Job summary

Aramex Port Macquarie is seeking a Casual Freight Sorter to join our team at the Port Macquarie depot. This is a hands-on, physical role in a large warehouse, where you will sort freight and prepare it for delivery.

Key duties include sorting loose freight parcels, scanning and labeling for routes, loading/unloading, and maintaining a safe, tidy work area. You will start early, around 4:00 am, and work with a supportive team to meet daily deadlines.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and reliability.
• The physical ability to safely lift up to 25kgs and perform repetitive manual tasks.
• Ability to commence work from 4:00 am.

Responsibilities

• Manually sort and process loose freight parcels within the warehouse.
• Accurately scan, label and allocate parcels to the correct delivery routes.
• Load and unload parcels from conveyor belts, cages and pallets.
• Ensure freight is handled safely to prevent damage.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized area.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily freight deadlines.
• Report any damaged freight or safety concerns to the supervisor.

About the Role:

Aramex Port Macquarie has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Freight Sorter to join our dynamic team based at our Port Macquarie depot.

This is a hands-on, physical role within a large, warehouse environment. You will be on your feet for the duration of your shift and play a key role in ensuring freight is accurately sorted and prepared for delivery.
