Job summary

Bunnings is seeking a Department Manager in Australia to lead a 20+ team in a high-volume store. You’ll drive daily operations, sales, stock accuracy and safety culture, reporting to the Assistant Site Manager.

You’ll train and develop your team to deliver Best Experience for customers, manage rosters, and collaborate with Merchandising, Store Leadership and Health and Safety teams to ensure excellent service and strong performance.

Qualifications

• Leading a team of 20+ to deliver Best Experience and safety culture.
• Experience in leading teams in large, high-volume retail environments.
• Knowledge of KPI tracking and store performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ to maintain an engaged and safe work environment, while handling duty manager responsibilities, including opening and closing the store across weekdays and weekends.
• Build team capability on Best Experience and Safety Culture & Compliance through engagement, performance coaching and recognition.
• Rostering and strategic planning to drive service and department sales through merchandising and metrics monitoring.
• Act on customer feedback to improve end-to-end customer experience.
• Own department stock accuracy, replenishment discipline and loss prevention processes.
