Job summary

Bunnings is seeking a Department Manager at a store in Australia to lead a 20+ strong team, ensuring exceptional service, safety, and stock accuracy. You will train and develop staff, manage daily operations, and collaborate with Merchandising, Store Leadership, and Health and Safety teams to deliver the Best Experience and lowest prices.

You will be responsible for rostering, performance management, and ensuring strong customer outcomes across weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead and develop large teams in retail.
• Focus on safety, wellbeing and compliance.
• Strong understanding of KPI driven store operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ to maintain an engaged and safe work environment, including duty manager tasks.
• Develop team capability and drive Best Experience and Safety Culture & Compliance.
• Plan rosters and strategy to deliver service promises and sales.
• Drive department sales through merchandising and KPI monitoring.
• Act on customer feedback to improve end-to-end experience.
• Maintain stock accuracy and oversee replenishment and loss prevention.
