Job summary

Bunnings is looking for a Department Manager to lead a 20+ person team, manage daily operations, and drive service and sales in a high-volume department. You will partner with Assistant Site Manager and Site Manager to ensure best experience for customers, safety, and stock accuracy across your area.

You will coach and develop your team, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with Merchandising, Store Leadership and Health and Safety to deliver outstanding results during weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a retail environment
• Strong focus on safety and wellbeing
• Ability to manage a large team and influence stakeholders
• Understanding KPI metrics and customer service standards

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ to maintain an engaged and safe work environment while performing duty manager responsibilities
• Build team capability on Best Experience and Safety Culture & Compliance through coaching and recognition
• Rostering and strategic planning to deliver our service promise
• Drive department sales through merchandising and monitoring key metrics
• Address customer feedback to improve end-to-end experience
• Manage department stock accuracy, replenishment, and loss prevention
