Job summary

Bunnings Warehouse, a leading home improvement retailer in Australia, is hiring a Department Manager to oversee daily operations, sales, and high-volume stock in a specialist area. You will lead 20+ team members, train and develop staff, and partner with Operations and Complex Managers to deliver Best Experience to customers.

You will monitor service levels, collaborate with Merchandising, Store Leadership, and Health & Safety teams, and manage weekend rosters.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large teams in retail or high-volume environments.
• Proven ability to drive safety and wellbeing across the team.
• Ability to coach, engage and recognize team performance.
• Strong understanding of KPI metrics and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ to deliver Best Experience and safety culture.
• Open and close the store, including weekend work.
• Plan rosters and deliver on the service promise with strong merchandising.
• Drive department sales through stock availability and loss prevention.
• Build capability and coach team members for performance.
