Village Roadshow Theme Parks on the Gold Coast is seeking a Demi Chef to join a dynamic culinary team across multiple venues. You will contribute to high-quality dishes, uphold safety standards, and thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

The role requires a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant experience, with strong leadership and time-management skills. Join us for a vibrant, team-driven kitchen experience at our theme parks.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience required.
• Experience as a Demi Chef in a high-volume kitchen is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills essential.
• Solid time management, delegation, and guidance abilities.
• Solid understanding of food hygiene and safety programs.
• Ability to accommodate dietary requirements.
• Food safety supervisor accreditation is a plus.
• Experience across multiple Village Roadshow Theme Park venues is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team to deliver high-quality dishes across venues.
• Apply and monitor food safety procedures to meet standards.
• Report issues to the Chef de Partie to minimise disruption.
• Maintain portion control and keep a clean, safe workspace.
• Be mindful of meal timing and presentation for efficiency.
• Acknowledge guest dietary requests and special needs.
• Motivate team members to uphold service quality.
• Assist in team development and mentoring through training.
• Coordinate with Events Manager as needed.
• Stay aware of market trends related to menus.
