Job summary

Delaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Demi Chef to join the team at Lizard Island Resort. You will design, prepare, and present high-quality dishes, while maintaining a safe kitchen and adhering to food safety standards.

You will work with the kitchen team on creative menu planning, inventory control, and guest interaction to deliver a five-star experience. Diploma in Professional Cookery Level 5 or equivalent is required, with a Food Safety Supervisor certificate beneficial.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Professional Cookery Level 5 or equivalent.
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate is beneficial.
• Proven experience with buffet and bulk food production service.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts over a 7-day roster.

Responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and present high-quality dishes with creative flair.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to hazard analysis and critical control points, and food safety.
