Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead complex Data Centre projects on a FIFO basis across QLD. You will manage client interfaces, coordinate design, schedule and cost controls, and ensure safety and compliance throughout the project life cycle.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years of data centre project management experience, strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, Fire and Security, plus BMS proficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction management or related field.
• Professional/tertiary qualification in project management, engineering or construction.
• Technical understanding of Data Centre Infrastructure – HVAC, Electrical, Generators, Fire, Security and BMS.
• 5–10 years of project management experience in a Data Centre or similar technical environment.
• Excellent knowledge of main project management concepts, tools and techniques.
• Thrives in a high pressure, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex projects and programs as the key client interface.
• Develop working relationships, problem solving and drive projects to successful completion.
• Manage the design process to meet client requirements and manage expectations.
• Review project plans, schedules, costs and constructability issues.
• Ensure project safety and environmental requirements are met.
• Manage timelines, risks and reporting.
• Monitor budgets and advise on options to keep costs on track.
• Coordinate with marketing and business development initiatives.
• Liaise with contractors and vendors to align scope with delivery.
