Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Project/Construction Manager for a major data centre project in New South Wales, Australia. The role is FIFO/DIDO with location flexibility, requiring on-site leadership to oversee the client’s interests and drive delivery through complex contractor and developer coordination.

You will chair roundtables, manage site visits, and produce performance reports to protect the critical path and ensure milestones are met in a high-value delivery environment.

Qualifications

• 15 to 20 years' total experience in project and construction management.
• 8+ years delivering data centre projects specifically.
• General contractor background strongly preferred or equivalent site experience.
• Thorough understanding of full project lifecycle from mobilisation to construction.
• Proven ability to manage GC/EC/MC interfaces and drive accountability.
• Strong critical path management and programme recovery experience.
• Thrives in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's or higher in Construction Management, CE, ME, EE or related; postgraduate PM qualification highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Act as the client's primary on-site oversight lead within the developer/contractor team.
• Lead site visits, chair roundtables, and ensure commitments are met.
• Challenge performance, identify risks, and pursue programme acceleration.
• Protect critical path with rigour and surface blockers early.
• Produce bi-weekly site reports, minutes, and logs for client control.
