Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Engineering Operations Technician for its Australian data centres. You will oversee critical infrastructure such as generators, UPS, cooling and building monitoring, ensuring uninterrupted service while maintaining safety and compliance.

You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance and collaborate with engineers, security and operations leaders to shape future facility performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC controls and maintenance.
• Valid and active driver's license required.
• Ability to cover 24/7 shift rotations.

Responsibilities

• Own operational excellence of critical infrastructure including switch gear, generators, UPS and cooling systems.
• Review and manage maintenance, perform analyses and drive improvements.
• Contribute to design, commissioning and build-out of new facilities.
• Develop and implement projects to improve capacity, efficiency, sustainability and reliability.
• Manage facility assets, coordinate contractors on-site and ensure safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with leaders to optimise safety and performance.
