Job summary

Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer to sustain availability, manage costs, assess risk, and oversee maintenance of critical infrastructure in AWS data centers.

You will lead site-level operations, coordinate with IT managers, and drive projects to improve capacity, efficiency, and reliability while adhering to safety and security standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant work in a data center or other critical environment.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred.
• Experience in facilities management or data center/mission critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and support maintenance and emergency service of critical systems (switch-gear, generators, UPS, chillers, etc.).
• Install new rack capacity and provisioning of power/cooling.
• On-site management of contractors and vendors to established practices and local legislation.
• Establish performance benchmarks, analyze data, and document facility operations and assets.
• Generate change management and incident tickets for facility events and assist resolution.
