Job summary

Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd is seeking a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer in Sydney. The role covers data center engineering operations, risk management, preventive maintenance, and reporting on critical infrastructure.

The successful candidate will participate in a 24/7 shift pattern, manage on-site contractors, and contribute to design, build-out and asset management of facilities while ensuring service levels and safety across all critical systems.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 2+ years of data center engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 24/7 rotating shift pattern.
• Assist on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with practices, procedures & local legislation.
• Maintain performance benchmarks and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
• Generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets for events managed by DCEO.
• Coordinate with DC managers and business leaders on projects, capacity, safety and reliability.
• Assist with documentation related to facility operations.
• Oversee installation of racks and provision of power/cooling within constraints.
