Job summary

Michael Page is representing a global supplier expanding its Data Centre business in Australia. The Business Development Manager will develop strategic plans, pursue new opportunities, and build enduring client relationships across EPCs, OEMs, and fabricators.

Ideal candidates bring proven sales or BD experience in the Data Centre sector, strong negotiation skills, and an engineering degree. Travel to client sites will be required, and a competitive package with commission is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a sales or business development role within the Data Centre sector.
• Strong understanding of sales processes and client relationship management.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalise on business opportunities.
• An engineering qualification or degree.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Analytical skills to interpret market data and drive strategic decisions.
• A valid driver’s licence for travel to client site

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and business growth.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Data Centre space with EPCs, OEMs, fabricators etc.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
• Analyse market trends to identify opportunities and challenges for the business.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and service delivery.
• Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.
