Job summary

Oracle in Sydney seeks an experienced Data Centre Technician to support, maintain, and improve our data centre infrastructure. You will install, configure, test, troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and decommission data centre hardware and supporting infrastructure, while coordinating with engineering teams, vendors and stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on technical ability, strong communication, and the ability to manage priorities within a fast-paced, safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in data centre operations including installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning of data centre hardware.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to respond to incidents and maintain asset inventory.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and decommission data centre hardware.
• Respond to incidents and perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain accurate asset and spare-parts inventory.
• Follow established operational procedures and safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Escalate issues and coordinate with global teams as needed.
• Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of infrastructure and cloud services.
