Job summary

Oracle Australia seeks an experienced Data Centre Technician to support, maintain, and improve data centre infrastructure across rack and stack, deployment, testing, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning. You will work with engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure reliability, safety, and performance of critical systems.

The role requires hands-on capability, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data centre experience across rack and stack, deployment, and decommissioning.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault isolation skills.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 shift and on-call.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Completes complex tasks per project requirements with minimal instructions.
• Collaborates across teams to deliver impactful work and support key objectives.
• Develops procedures to identify and resolve routine or non-routine issues.
• Monitors and assigns work in a ticketing environment within SLAs.
• Ensures adherence to SOPs/MOPs and safety standards on site.
• Trains and mentors junior technicians on best practices.
• Responds to incidents and performs preventative maintenance.
• Maintains asset and spare-parts inventory with accuracy.
