Oracle is seeking an experienced Data Centre Technician in Australia to support and improve our data centre infrastructure. You will install, configure, test, troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and decommission data centre hardware, while following SOPs and safety standards.

The role involves incident response, preventative maintenance, asset management, and liaising with engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in data centre environments and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with rack and stack across hardware lifecycle (deployment, testing, maintenance, upgrades, decommissioning).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to follow documented SOPs/MOPs and safety standards.
• Attention to detail in asset handling, documentation, and production systems.

Responsabilités

• Identify opportunities for other team members to work with servers and hardware to ensure efficient lifecycle performance.
• Coach less experienced technicians on power distribution units and hardware replacement without disrupting critical infrastructure.
• Guide on network communications implementation and client configurations within environments.
• Validate cabling and verify connectivity; ensure devices are connected and error-free.
• Monitor ticketing system and mentor staff; escalate trends and document resolutions for SLAs.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs/MOPs, site rules, and vendor requirements.
• Promote safety and security procedures in on-site work and compliance with health guidelines.
• Participate in Change Control processes for data centre operations.
• Collaborate with project teams and partners to test installations and verify performance.
