Job summary

Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd in Australia is seeking a Data Centre Technician to help build and operate the nation's sovereign cloud infrastructure. You will install racks, configure cabling, and maintain servers to ensure peak performance of critical information systems.

The role requires hands-on hardware experience, Linux knowledge, and the ability to cover 24x7 shift rotations while adhering to strict safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid and active driver's license.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to cover 24x7 shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure racks to internal SLAs and deploy cabling infrastructure.
• Prioritise and resolve issues; act as escalation point; leverage Linux expertise for server-level challenges.
• Coordinate response during high-severity incidents and maintain 24x7 on-call readiness.
• Handle equipment up to 20 kg and work in confined spaces following safety guidelines.
