Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a motivated trainee to join the Infrastructure Delivery team focused on Data Center infrastructure deployment. The role involves installation and testing of copper and fiber cabling, basic network device troubleshooting, and hands-on equipment handling in a data center environment.

You will work under guidance to ensure security, safety, and efficiency in rollouts, with mentoring from Network Engineering and Project Manager teams, and may travel within the work

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, or Data Center Operations experience.
• Experience with cabling best practices and methodologies is desirable.
• 1+ years of computer networking experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to security and safety best practices in the Data Center.
• Installation and testing of copper and Fiber Optic cabling.
• Basic build and troubleshooting of network devices.
• Creating/attaching labels and barcodes.
• Regularly lift 15kg or move objects into position.
• Regularly work at heights and from ladders/EWP.
• Managing inventory of related materials.
• Adhering to defined escalation processes and standard operating procedures.
• Work in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperatures than standard office environments.
• Ability to travel within geographical work area is required, some travel outside traditional work area may be requested.
• Understanding of cabling procedure.
