Job summary

Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated trainee to join the Infrastructure Delivery team, focusing on Data Center infrastructure deployment and support.

You'll perform cabling installation, basic network device testing, equipment labeling, and participate in inventory management within a collaborative, safety-conscious environment. A willingness to learn and adapt to fit our high standards is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of computer networking experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to security and safety best practices in the Data Center.
• Installation and testing of copper and Fiber Optic cabling.
• Basic build and troubleshooting of network devices.
• Creating/attaching labels and barcodes.
• Regularly lift 15kg or move objects into position.
• Regularly work at heights and from ladders/EWP
• Managing inventory of related materials.
• Adhering to defined escalation processes and standard operating procedures.
• Work in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperatures than standard office environmental conditions.
• Ability to travel within geographical work area is required, some travel outside traditional work area may be requested.
• Understanding of cabling procedure.
