Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Specialist Solution Engineer to be the subject matter expert for Tableau and its family of products in Australia and New Zealand. You will partner with Account Executives to run discovery sessions, craft customised demos, and build prototypes that demonstrate business value.

You will help customers adopt semantic foundations for data and AI agents, and support bids through RFPs and RFIs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical pre-sales, consulting, customer success, analytics or data roles.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Systems.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau, CRM Analytics or similar tools (Power BI, Looker).
• Knowledge of data modelling, semantic layers, and data movement through ETL/ELT pipelines.
• AI fluency with generative AI, LLMs, prompt design and AI agents.
• Strong communication and sales instinct; comfortable presenting to analysts and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions and customised demos with stakeholders.
• Build prototypes and demos to prove business value.
• Show how Tableau and CRM Analytics fit the customer data stack.
• Support bids, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and share knowledge with teams.
• Represent Tableau at customer events and Tableau User Groups.
