Job summary

Royal Flying Doctor Service SA/NT is seeking a Facilities Officer in Darwin to provide internal technical support for facilities matters. You will coordinate maintenance, oversee contractors and manage minor projects to keep our essential services safe and ready for operation.

You will report to the Senior Facilities Manager and collaborate with the Facilities Management team and stakeholders. A practical, hands-on approach and strong communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ project, facilities or business management experience within the property industry or equivalent.
• Experience in facilities management/operations with building services knowledge.
• Exposure to fire, mechanical, plumbing or electrical services.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise and support facilities-related work requests across sites, infrastructure and fleet.
• Coordinate planned maintenance reports and remediation works.
• Provide technical trade advice and input on asset issues.
• Work with external trades and service providers to resolve complex facilities issues.
• Manage minor project works and refurbishments across sites and fleet.
• Oversee project budgets, invoices and contractor performance.
• Conduct site inspections and service audits to ensure safety and quality.
