Job summary

UPS in Sydney seeks a Brokerage Customer Support Specialist to drive onboarding and strengthen customer relationships. You will review enrolment requests, validate profiles, and monitor early shipments to identify issues.

Working with Account Executives and brokerage teams, you will resolve customs clearance risks, perform root-cause analysis on shipment holds, and coordinate corrective actions to ensure on‑time release and customer satisfaction. Travel to customer locations may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in customs brokerage or related roles.
• Comfortable interacting with Sales/Account Executives and customers.
• Understanding of cross‑border customs brokerage compliance and regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review and confirm enrolment requests from Account Executives.
• Validate customer information and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate with customers to gather required documents for profiles.
• Create and maintain customer profiles, including handling notes.
• Conduct welcome calls and explain shipment requirements.
• Monitor initial shipments for holds or issues and coordinate with internal teams.
• Identify gaps in documentation and guide corrective actions with customers/origin/destination.
• Document onboarding outcomes and report trends and resolutions.
• Coordinate with Account Executives and brokerage teams for smooth handover post‑onboarding.
