Job summary

UPS is seeking a Brokerage Assist Specialist to deliver brokerage solutions and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new customers. In this role you will manage onboarding, validate requirements, monitor shipments, and work with Sales and brokerage teams to provide compliant solutions that support timely clearance.

In addition, you will monitor onboarding performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements while collaborating with both local and remote teams to uphold service quality

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in customs brokerage, with a sound understanding of cross-border customs requirements, import/export processes, and regulatory compliance.
• A strong interest in providing practical and compliant brokerage solutions to customers.
• Confidence working and communicating directly with Sales/Account Executives and customers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify root causes and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with local and remote teams.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing customer documentation, brokerage requirements, and shipment information.

Join our Brokerage team as a Brokerage Assist Specialist, where you will play an important role in delivering brokerage solutions and creating a seamless onboarding experience for new customers.

In this customer-focused role, you will manage customer onboarding, validate brokerage and customs requirements, monitor shipments, and proactively identify and resolve documentation or customs clearance issues. You will work closely with customers, Sales/Account Executives, and Origin and Destination Brokerage teams to provide practical and compliant brokerage solutions that support timely shipment clearance and a positive customer experience.

You will also monitor onboarding performance, identify trends and root causes, and recommend solutions to improve service outcomes. This opportunity is suited to an experienced customs brokerage professional who enjoys problem-solving, working directly with customers, and collaborating with Sales and operational teams.
