Qualifications

• 2+ years of international freight forwarding experience.
• General freight forwarding training completed.
• Previous 3PL experience preferred.
• Experience in customer service within a similar organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain portfolio of clients as assigned.
• Keep client work instructions and request SOP amendments.
• Monthly/quarterly rates maintenance for key customers.
• Manage order status reports and in-transit reports.
• Document customer shipping enquiries and update clients.
• Monitor network import shipments between origins and destinations.
• Communicate between clientele and networks.
• Take corrective actions to prevent non-conformances.
• Maintain personal training inventory and complete required training.
• Review customer purchase orders and resolve outstanding issues.
• Interact with clients and staff in a friendly, professional manner.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.

We are seeking a dedicated, energetic and experienced Customer Service Operator within the freight industry to join their team on a full-time basis located in their Bankstown office.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintaining portfolio of clients as assigned
• Maintain client work instructions and request changes with client implementation for SOP amendments.
• Monthly/quarterly rates maintenance for key customers based on Account Managers instructions.
• Manage order status reports / in transit reports for clients
• Document all customer shipping enquiries and keep client updated of shipment progress, delays etc.
• Monitoring network import shipments between overseas origins and destinations.
• Communicate between clientele and networks
• Taking appropriate corrective action to prevent recurrence of non-conformances
• Take responsibility for completing a skills inventory and to ensure that all training received is recorded on personal training inventory.
• Take responsibility for reviewing all customer purchase orders, telephone, over the counter orders and for resolving all outstanding issues
• Communicate with clients and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
• Other tasks and responsibilities which may be assigned as and when required by your supervisor / manager

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in International Freight Forwarding
• General freight forwarding training
• Previous 3PL experience
• Experience in Customer Service within a similar organization
• Phone etiquette training
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Own reliable transport
