Job summary

YMCA Aquatic and Event Services Ltd in Adelaide is seeking a casual Customer Service Officer to greet members and visitors, handle inquiries, process transactions, and contribute to a welcoming environment across Oaklands Park and North Adelaide centres.

This role requires strong customer service, cash handling, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; you will join a team that supports Play, Train and Perform.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service ability with problem solving and clear communication.
• Strong sales and customer service background, preferably in fitness.
• Experience working in a team and fostering a positive culture.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office—Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Experience handling cash, POS and EFTPOS transactions.
• Flexibility to pick up extra shifts.
• Reliable and able to work autonomously.
• Confident and enthusiastic attitude.
• Willingness to support others and adapt in a team.

Customer Service Officer - Casual

• YMCA Aquatic and Event Services Ltd
• SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre, Oaklands Park SA
• Adelaide Aquatic Centre, North Adelaide SA

The Customer Services Officer is the face of the Centres and plays an important role in ensuring our members and patrons receive exceptional customer services in an environment where they can Play, Train and Perform.

Essential Criteria

• Exceptional customer service ability, with the ability to problem solve and communicate effectively to customers
• Strong sales and customer service background preferable in the fitness industry
• Previous experience working in a team environment and foster a positive & professional culture
• Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience with handling cash, point of sale and EFTPOS transactions
• Flexibility to pick up extra shifts as they arise when required.
• You must be reliable and able to work autonomously.
• Confident & enthusiastic
• Have a willingness to support others, work cooperatively as part of a team and be adaptable
• Be self-motivated with excellent personal presentation and a positive and professional attitude
