Job summary

YMCA Aquatic and Events Services Ltd in Adelaide is seeking casual Pool Lifeguards and Pool Assistants to ensure safe and enjoyable experiences for patrons. The roles involve active supervision of the pool area, incident response, and basic maintenance in a supportive team environment.

The positions require a current Pool Lifeguard Certificate, First Aid/CPR certification, and relevant police checks. Flexibility for casual shifts and a commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
• Provide First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Intervene to ensure safety of staff, patrons, facility and equipment.
• Promote safety in the aquatic environment.
• Maintain supervision of the aquatic area at all times.
• Recognise and respond to incidents or emergencies.
• Support and communicate with team members at all times.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
• Provide resolutions to identified issues.
• Perform pool maintenance and cleaning duties.
• Complete administration duties as required.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Carry out intervention and preventative action to ensure the safety and well being of staff, patrons, the facility and equipment
• Promote safety in the aquatic environment
• Ensure an exceptional level of supervision of the aquatic area is maintained at all times
• Recognise and action appropriately response to incidents or emergencies
• Able to provide support and communication to team members
• Effectively communicate with all levels of staff
• Able to provide possible resolutions to identified issues
• Perform pool maintenance & cleaning duties
• Complete administration duties as required

Qualifications

• National Police and Working with Children Checks
• Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Provide First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
