Job summary

McArthur in Bathurst is seeking enthusiastic people to join our team as event staff for Australia’s leading ticketing initiatives. We provide access to exciting live events and flexible hours to suit your lifestyle.

Your role includes selling tickets at POS, scanning entry, ushering guests, and delivering excellent, friendly customer service. Availability is mainly evenings and weekends, with shifts from 3 to 8 hours and a strong focus on helping patrons enjoy the show.

Qualifications

From international sporting events to shows like Come Alive!, Laneway Festival, Hilary Duff and many more, our team is there helping create memorable experiences for thousands of patrons.

We're looking for enthusiastic people to join our Bathurst team who enjoy working with others, love providing great customer service and don't mind that every shift is a little different.

What you'll be doing

No two events are the same, but your role may include:

• Selling tickets using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Scanning tickets as patrons arrive.
• Ushering guests to their seats.
• Answering questions and helping people find their way around the venue.
• Providing friendly, professional customer service throughout the event.

At the end of the day, you're there to help people enjoy their experience from the moment they arrive until they leave.

Availability

Live events don't usually happen between 9 and 5, so flexibility is really important.

Most of our shifts take place in the evenings and on weekends, although weekday shifts are also available. We're looking for people who are generally available from 3:00pm Monday to Friday and can work weekends when required. A willingness to travel between Brisbane and Gold Coast is a big part of this role as not all events are contained to one city.

Some larger events may start as early as 6:00am or finish as late as midnight, so the more flexible your availability, the more opportunities you'll have to work.

Shift lengths are a minimum of 3 hours, with many events offering longer shifts of up to 8 hours.

Pay Rates

• Monday to Saturday: $34.44 per hour + Superannuation
• Sunday & Public Holidays: $61.99 per hour + Superannuation
