Job summary

Dubbo Regional Council is seeking a Customer Experience Officer to join the Customer Experience & Engagement Branch on a front-line, 4-month temporary contract. You’ll engage with residents, understand needs, and deliver empathetic, practical solutions to a diverse range of inquiries.

You’ll stay current with council services, apply policies, and support improvements while delivering excellent customer care. The role offers AUD $70,498–$81,930 per year plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Office / Business Administration or equivalent.
• Experience delivering customer service in high-volume environments.
• Excellent communication skills and data entry accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise deadlines.
• Flexibility to handle diverse Omni-Channel tasks.
• Ability to quickly adapt to process changes and tech updates.

Responsibilities

• Be the vital link between our organisation and customers, providing clear communication and support.
• Execute customer service tasks in line with procedures to optimise the Customer Experience Centre.
• Stay current with council services to provide accurate information to customers.
• Understand and apply council policies to maintain high standards and compliance.
• Identify and address dissatisfaction, escalating issues per established protocols.
• Build strong customer relationships across multiple communication channels.
