Job summary

Tough Trucks Australia in the Gold Coast HQ is seeking a customer‑facing team member to be the first point of contact for enquiries, sales, bookings and orders. • Liaise with Tough Trucks dealers and partners across Australia for enquiries, availability and orders.
• Support sales team with customer follow-ups, lead management and appointment scheduling.
• Assist with processing orders, stock checks and fulfilment coordination.
• Assist with picking, packing and dispatching orders when required.
• Maintain accurate customer records and support day-to-day office operations.

Job description

This is a varied, customer-facing position based in the main office. You'll be one of the first points of contact for customers, assisting with enquiries, sales, bookings, orders and general customer support. You'll also work closely with the sales team and national dealer network to ensure customers receive timely communication and a professional experience from their initial enquiry through to delivery.

Key responsibilities

Handle incoming phone calls, emails and walk-in enquiries, assist customers with product information, general sales and purchasing decisions

Liaise with Tough Trucks dealers and partners across Australia, assisting with enquiries, product availability, orders and general communication

Support sales team with customer follow-ups, lead management, appointment scheduling and ongoing communication

Assist with processing orders, checking stock availability, providing updates and coordinating fulfilment

Assist with picking, packing and dispatching customer and dealer orders when required

Keep customers informed, manage expectations around bookings and lead times, and ensure enquiries are followed through to completion

Maintain accurate customer records, update internal systems and assist with day-to-day office operations

About you

A genuine passion for 4WDs, off‑roading, camping, touring or American trucks

Some existing knowledge of 4WD vehicles, accessories or the automotive aftermarket

Excellent phone manner and confident, professional communication skills

A friendly, polite and well‑presented approach to customer interactions

Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new software and systems

Excellent organisation and time management skills

The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and take initiative

Confidence managing customer expectations and following up on commitments

Strong attention to detail and a willingness to help across different areas of the business

A positive, team-focused attitude and a genuine commitment to providing great service
