Job summary

Westpac is seeking an experienced Executive Manager, Leadership & Culture to drive culture and organisational development across a large, complex institution. You’ll partner with senior leaders to translate culture challenges into practical, scalable solutions and measurable outcomes.

You'll diagnose issues, design interventions and lead leadership conversations to strengthen effectiveness, performance and outcomes, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a hybrid Sydney-based

Qualifications

• Significant experience driving culture change at scale.
• Strong diagnostic capability to uncover underlying issues and shape practical solutions.
• Credibility and confidence with senior leaders and ability to influence and constructively challenge.
• Experience designing and delivering culture, leadership and behavioural interventions from concept to implementation.
• Strong facilitation skills and the ability to lead purposeful conversations with senior stakeholders.
• Evidence-led approach using data and insights to guide decisions and assess impact.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, competing priorities and organisational complexity while maintaining momentum.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders and leadership teams to shape culture plans and strengthen leadership effectiveness, team performance and organisational outcomes.
• Turn complex or ambiguous challenges into practical, targeted interventions.
• Design and deliver culture, leadership and behavioural initiatives that shift mindsets and ways of working.
• Facilitate leadership team conversations and workshops that build alignment, accountability and action.
• Use employee insights, culture measures, research and experimentation to diagnose issues, measure impact and improve outcomes.
• Connect culture initiatives across organisational levers, including performance, capability, recognition and communication.
• Collaborate across the People Team and the business to embed change and deliver sustainable outcomes.
• Constructively challenge thinking, bring new ideas and influence change across a complex organisation.
