Job summary

Alchemy Recruitment Consulting – Maroochydore QLD is partnering with a local government client to recruit a Credit Management Officer to join their Revenue Collection team in Maroochydore. The role is a 6-week temporary contract, part-time at 12 hours per week, with an immediate start and based at City Hall.

Work will involve rate recovery support, customer liaison and accounts receivable tasks within a busy council finance team, with a flexible start time and business casual dress code.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Business Administration, Finance, Local Government or similar, and/or equivalent experience in customer service, rates, finance or credit management.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Confident communicator across phone, email and written correspondence, including sensitive conversations.
• Comfortable learning new financial, property or mapping systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer and ratepayer enquiries regarding outstanding rates and charges.
• Prepare and manage rate payment arrangements and update account records.
• Assist with Sale of Land correspondence and return to sender processing.
• Support the wider team with accounts receivable and receipting tasks.
• Maintain accurate records across council systems.
