S’WICH Services Pty Ltd is looking for a full-time Cook to join our team in Bondi Beach or Surry Hills. You will prepare, season and cook a full menu, ensuring quality and presentation while safely handling all foodstuffs.

You’ll work 38 hours weekly with overtime as needed; stores trade seven days from 11am to 8pm. Training and development are provided, with opportunities for progression as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Commercial food preparation and cooking experience required.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and temperature control.
• Ability to prepare, season and cook all menu options to recipe.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality ingredients.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a small team on shift.
• Weekend availability is essential due to seven-day trading.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook food across the full menu, to order and in line with recipes.
• Examine foodstuffs to ensure quality and reject substandard items.
• Season food during cooking to maintain quality and taste.
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers and other equipment.
• Portion, plate and present meals to standard.
• Prepare vegetables for pickling and mix sauces/dressings.
• Meet dietary requirements and know menu ingredients for allergies.
• Store food in temp-controlled facilities and monitor refrigeration.
• Complete daily morning prep and set up for service.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and liaise with suppliers.
• Keep kitchen and serving area clean and comply with safety rules.
• Plan menus and assist with costing, ingredients selection.
