Job summary

The Cottage Balmain is hiring a full-time cook with solid kitchen experience to work across lunch and dinner services under our sous chefs. You'll learn our menu, cook to a high standard, and contribute to a calm, efficient kitchen.

No formal trade certificate required; availability across weekends and full Australian working rights are essential. We foster hands-on training from senior chefs, staff meals on shift, and a shared tips pool.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience required or proven ability to cook to spec.
• Experience working in a busy lunch/dinner service.
• Ability to follow recipes and allergen procedures.
• Reliable and eager to learn, with good feedback responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Prep and cook to recipe and spec.
• Work your station through lunch and dinner services.
• Follow allergen and dietary procedures every time.
• Keep your section clean, organised and food-safe.
• Help with deliveries, stock rotation and reducing waste.
• Pick up new dishes as the menu changes.
