Job summary

XS Espresso North Parramatta in NSW is seeking a reliable Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team on a full-time basis. You will prepare and cook a variety of menu items, ensure recipes are followed, and maintain high standards of presentation and food safety during busy service periods.

The role requires a relevant Commercial Cookery qualification (Cert III/IV) or at least 3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, with the ability to work flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery (Cert III/IV) or 3+ years as a Cook.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Sound knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook a variety of meals per recipes and menu requirements.
• Prepare ingredients: wash, peel, chop, portion, marinate.
• Follow recipes to maintain taste, quality, and presentation.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (grills, ovens, fryers, stovetops).
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to meet food safety standards.
• Plate meals according to menu specs and service requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas and storage.
