Job summary

Southern Youth and Family Services Limited – Warilla NSW is seeking a part-time cook with café-style front-of-house experience. You will prepare, cook and present quality food while maintaining hygiene and stock control.

A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Level 1) is required, with Level 2 preferred; First Aid and TAE are assets. You will work to support youth programs, interact positively, and comply with vaccination and vehicle/licence requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing, cooking and presenting quality food to standards.
• Maintain hygiene standards for food handling as prescribed by legislation.
• Access to a registered insured vehicle and valid driving licence.
• Ability to provide a COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
• Experience in café-style front-of-house operations.
• Stock control, budgeting and cash balancing.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with youth.

ESSENTIAL

• Experience preparing, cooking and presenting quality food in accordance with relevant standards
• Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation as prescribed by legislation, standards
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate – Minimum Level 1
• Experience in café-style front-of-house operations
• Order stock, budget, cash balancing
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; teamwork; demonstrated commitment to high ethical practice; ability to work well with young people
• Ability to provide a COVID-19 vaccination certificate
• Access to registered, comprehensively insured vehicle while on duty, current driver's licence and telephone

DESIRABLE

• Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

CONDITIONS

Dependent on the position, experience, qualifications part time rate $36.22 – $43.42
