Job summary

Service Integrated Communities in Warrawong, NSW, is seeking a part-time Cook for Multicultural Village operated by Warrigal. You will prepare home‑cooked meals, desserts, soups, and sandwiches for a diverse community, while assisting with budget control, ordering and storage.

The role supports kitchen staff and ensures high standards of food safety. The position is 15 hours per week over Mon and Tue, with potential extra shifts.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• Food Safety Certificate required
• Experience in bulk cooking preparation
• Ability to order stock within budget guidelines
• Knowledge of NSW Food Authority requirements
• Experience in the aged care industry

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of home-cooked meals, including desserts, soups and sandwiches.
• Support catering service operations including budgeting, stock storage and staff guidance.

The opportunity

Join our team as a part time Cook at Multicultural Village. In thisrole, you will have a passion for delivering variety of home cookedmeals, including desserts, cakes, soups and sandwiches to ourdiverse community. You will deliver within all aspects of thecatering service at our home including budget control, ordering andstoring of food items and supporting the direction of kitchenstaff.

The requirements

• Part time 6month Contract of 15hrs per week – must be ableto work Monday and Tuesday, with the option to pick up extrashifts.


• You’ll hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery orrelevant skills


• You’ll hold a Food Safety Certificate


• You’ll have demonstrated experience in the preparation offresh bulk cooking


• You’ll have demonstrated ability to order stock withinbudget guidelines


• You’ll have strong understanding of food service complianceand the requirements within the NSW Food Authority


• You’ll have demonstrated experience in the Aged CareIndustry
