Job summary

Turtle Beach Resort in Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast, is seeking an experienced Cook for the Deck Restaurant to deliver quality food and service. The role is casual, on-site, with potential to extend hours and operate in front of house if RSA is held.

Training and ongoing support provided by the management team. Responsibilities include food prep, following recipes for consistency, proper storage of ingredients, presentation, and ensuring hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum relevant experience.
• Successful completion of a recognised Food Safety Training Course.
• QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol Statement, or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
• Maintain strong awareness of hygiene and food safety standards.
• Professional presentation and work ethic.
• Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to work morning and night shifts on a 7-day rotating roster.
• Candidates must have legal Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation.
• Follow recipes and cook items, maintaining product consistency.

• Adhere to kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
• Maintaining a clean workspace at all times.
• Monitoring stock levels, reporting to the Restaurant Manager and Food and Beverage Manager.
• Any other tasks within skills and capabilities, as reasonably advised by Management.
• Ability to increase hours if happy to work front of house in addition (RSA required).

Located in the heart of Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast, Turtle Beach Resort is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Cook who is committed to providing exceptional food product and service.

The Deck Restaurant is situated between our two most popular facilities, the Lagoon Pool and SplashZone waterpark. Offering food and beverage products as dine-in and take-away options the outlet is open 7am - 8pm daily.
